Re: Has everyone been happy stretching the extra 10%?

I would stretch the boat. The 50hp will push it nicely. The 75hp might give you 5 mph more and always use more gas.

We'll start talking food soon! I know Thursday night Craig probably will bring in spaghetti at Land Cabin 7. I usually do something on Fri. night with others. We'll do that soon. We have 6 meals to cover. It's not a small thing to put together. But, many hands make small work.

Other Things We Bring to the Gathering

Every year we have other things that you get just for coming. We get kozzies each year. Food is by volunteers, if you can contribute, great. Boat rides just ask. everyone is ready, willing and mostly able! No cover charge for music! (Well, you may have to chip in your voice.) You get free advice, fr...

Welcome to the forum.

I don't remember the guy you mentioned. But, the build methods are not unique the Audeen. Lots of experience here! We'll get you through most any question you have. and, maybe even somebody will come to your house to help.

Jim Wow! This is a full list. I'm still investigating. The decking is 1/8" thick over a fiber-glassed, 3/8" sub-deck. It was epoxied down and I uses brads into the frame members. No stain. The boat is exposed to full sun and rain. I'd say extreme exposure. I'm still looking. I haven't noti...

The strut bearing, cutless, is hard rubber. It has groves in it for water to pass through to cool it. There must be some clearance from strut to prop. for the water to flow. Bryan is correct that this is 1 diameter or a little less.

Re: Mercury starter problems

First question, probably the easiest. But, not it. When you start the engine does the key return to the on position or stay in the start position? If it returns to on, it is probably a relay someplace that is sticking. Since, it's a new starter, I doubt it is the new starter. Sorry! This is not one ...

When it's dry too the touch and can dent it with your thumbnail you can get another coat on it without sanding.

Re: I guess it's time to come out of the closet!Bartender 24

Billy I just don't know. I suspect the heat and sun combination. I keep the boat down on the Gulf coast. It comes off in thick sheets. I think some of the problems come from thermal expansion relative to the sub-deck. I may have to say the hell with the planking, which I love, go with a painted deck...
