Re: Dynojet?

Looks like a good build to me. I don't know of another DynoJet build right now. There are several people with stitch and glue experience here and with jet experience.

Re: Hello from St. Pete Florida!

T Butch Barto has the Big Tahoe. I know he has had it out in 4 footers. I think that is a good choice. Depending on what you want the engine doesn't have to be that big. Butch runs a BIG block. It is a great boat. We certainly will be here for questions. Don't be afraid to ask any thing on the forum...

Tahti

Welcome! I don't which Tahoe you will build. I built mine at 20'-6". I always recommend the 10% stretch. The link below is a step by step photo essay on my Tahoe build.

Re: Biss's Malahini Build

I flipped the Tahoe about the same way by myself. I used a series of rope loop and pullies from the ceiling. And yes! Right at the end it flipped itself!

Re: 20ft Texas Barrel

Matt I run a 13x16 w/1.23:1 8*down angle. The diesel is 115hp and will turn 3900 rpm. The Tahoe will run 38 to 39 mph. With a little more hp and a little more rpm, the 13x13 may be fine. I would try the prop that you have first. It won't cost you anything to try it. Torque wise the diesel equals abo...

Why Do You Come to The Gatherings?

We're coming up on G-13! I've often wondered, why did it go in the first place and why does it keep going? We first thought that we might have a half dozen guys sitting around a campfire, drinking beer, and telling stories. The response was more than expected! And, it grew. I've been there from the ...

Carl

I got it from a southern comedian about 15 years ago. He died and I can't remember his name right now. But, it is much older than that. I googled it, it's pretty old.

Re: 20ft Texas Barrel

Matt After weeks measuring and trying to mark the engine compartment, I found a line drawing of my Tahoe engine and gear. I got it printed full size. I made a 3D silhouette model of the engine. That answered a ton of questions. The engines of the time were about 135 HP and turned about 3000 RPM. The...

Re: How Did You Know?

Neel The latest was really an easy one. My pancake compressor crapped out when I needed it for a positive pressure mask. I bought new better/bigger machine because I needed it then on the coast. When I got home, I saw a cover and opened it. The wiring was smoked! The connection were all uninsulated ...
