Re: The Fletchers Malahini

As said, the big problem with gas heaters is moisture (and chance of CO). Depending on what you're doing the moisture may not be that big an issue. With epoxy, may be a little cloudy and will cure out fine. You might also get a little blush. Polyurethanes actually need some humidity to cure out prop...

Re: modified malahini

Bryan 1. I don't have a vent on my deck fill. 2. Fill hose must be USCG approved, I think it's Class 1 or 1A. (Don't depend on my memory.) 3. I don't have one. My fill lines are straight to the tanks. 4. Good 5. If you don't have a tank vent, you will only go a few miles until the engine stops becau...

My custom tanks were built by RDS Aluminum. I felt they were reasonable.

I vote buy it now. Bryan needs some too. You can get back to the build faster in March.

Re: Seattle Barrelback progress

Robert I used white 4000UV on the Tahoe in 2008. Worked well. I think it's 3000UV now. I could not get enough black 4000UV for the Bartender. So, I used Sika 291, WRONG STUFF! I should have use 295! The 291 is a real mess now. I'm having a bad time trying to remove it. Some of it flakes right, some ...

PM me your E-mail address and I'll send you My cost spreadsheet for little Tahoe. It will at least give you an idea and a list to adjust.

Re: Vroom vroom is gone

I can meet someone on I-20 near the AL/GA line. I'd bring the boat to my house in B'ham. I can make arrangements to take it toward Memphis up I-22/US78 AL/TN line. From Memphis it's I-40 to OKC.

Re: Tahoe 23 or ?

Tahti The big Tahoe is a great boat. Hankinson's design is plenty strong to be built as utility. If you go with the original design, I'd make the cockpits as wide as you can. You can frame the engine compartment to squeeze the compartment and add the length to the cockpits. Make the engine hatch as ...

Re: Vroom vroom is gone

If someone can get it close to the GA/AL line, I'll try to meet them and get it to B'ham. Then to about the MS/TN line.
