Re: Klondike Build

Steve, unbelievable build and to share comments from others, am in awe of what you have accomplished. Would love to see launch and your boat some day. Where do you think you will launch and berth?

Re: Key Largo Build Update

Put on the swim platform a couple of years ago. Despite pleas previously to not step on guards, I had to repair twice from people climbing back into boat. Now I just have to worry about them grabbing the flag pole  !

Re: Key Largo Build Update

Spending some days in Carnelian Bay Lake Tahoe. Five years since launch and all great. LOTS of classic runabouts here and we get a lot of great compliments. Ken did a great job on the Barrel back design!

Re: Barrelback

Jimbob, have been watching your builds (Allycat as well). Coming along great and we will have to organize a get together for the No Cal gang! Lakes will be nice and full this summer no doubt.

Cradle for (Key Largo) Barrel Back 19

I saw Bob posted his cradle and mine has been sitting in my side yard for too long unused. Any takers? In No Cal and willing to help deliver. Heavy duty wheels with locks. Hopfully someone can use or guess it's time to dismantle.

Re: So Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic - July 24/25

Hi Brian. That's a great boat for Tahoe As it can get rough quickly. Wish I had built something bigger but wouldn't fit in the garage :D Repost closer in if you plan on attending! Good luck with your build.

I used Dolphinite. Stays pliable so easy when time to remove.

Re: SEA KNIGHT

Craig. Love your build and touches you are doing to it. Just a comment on the Etech 2 strokes on lakes like Tahoe. They are allowed and will save you a bit of weight. Looking forward to seeing it's completion!

South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic

Ready for day two. Lots a unique boats here and two Glen-L's side by side. This Cracker Box was built by the Sea Scouts from the Ship Challenger in San Jose. They just completed it Thursday. Beautiful job.

To add a Swim Platform??

Well I did. Have gone back and forth on decision to add a swim platform. Worry is that it would take away some of the classic look but practicality won out. Once I had a template that I liked, use 3/4 Aquatec marine ply as base, then epoxied mahogany veneer (1/4 inch) on top. I beveled the edges to ...
