John Schuberts Zip

An aquaintence of mine recently acquired a modified (for speed) Zip. Says he's gonna run a Mark 78 on it. The name soundsfamiliar, but I could not find Zip pics by a John Schubert. Is anyone familiar with this boat. Just curious!

Thanks for the advice. I hear what your saying, Great info thanks so much. I have 2 markk 55's. I love the belt driven magnetos, thwe 4 cylinders, and the what they run so well at idle and at WOT. im gonna pull the LU and play with the powerhead a bit, see what happens.

It was a freebee, Short shaft. Maybe be worth doing a powerhead swap. Any advice or tips are great;y appreciated.

Unless you just had a real compulsion to do it, or came across a real good deal on 2 old Mercs (like I did) there would be no good reason to do such a thing. I think about it everyday.
