If the hull is still in good condition and you just want to have a glossy finish, then you can sand it up lightly and evenly using a fine sand paper and then apply a varnish. I would suggest you go on building you own trailer if you're on a restricted budget as it will it save you a lot of money apart that you get to achieve the exact design the way you want it. There are a lot of manuals you could choose from as your reference but of course I recommend the GLen_L Traile...
