Carl: I'm afraid to make a punch list yet. It would be soooo long I'd get depressed! Better to live in denial.

Re: MI Malahini Build, Post Flip.

Footer, it looks really nice. I'm at this part of the build as well. I'm sure you guys will blow right past me though. It is hard to decide what to do next.

Evan: Looks good. I left my plywood long at the shear until after the flip. Much easier to fair that way.

Glad she was found and in apparent good order. What would shipping costs be? Maybe we can do a go fund me page to help.

Re: Biss's Malahini Build

Biss: I remember there was a malahini owner in GA that tried to use the wedge tank under the bow. He gave up because he didn't have enough room for the filler neck and sold the tank. If you don't mind the filler being more towards the center of the boat it may work. I am using that tank on my malahi...

Re: Tom's Tahoe

Sorry Jim, I mentioned you, but have since found the post I was talking about. It was by BayouBengal. He recommended using Silvertip GelMagic. https://www.systemthree.com/products/silvertip-gelmagic-non-sagging-epoxy-adhesive We were discussing my staple holes getting filled: If still not filled bef...

Re: Tom's Tahoe

In the past someone had mentioned a clear filler to use. I think it was Jim Neeley. I can't remember the name of the stuff and couldn't find the post. Maybe they will see this and mention it again.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't know I could mix aluminum and stainless without galvanic reaction.

Re: modified malahini

I am building the platform to hold my fuel tank. I am using a Moeller resin tank. I ordered the four clips to hold tank. Since they are aluminum do I need to get aluminum screws? Are wood screws ok or should I get nuts and bolts? Also, not important now since I am not doing permanent securing for qu...

Re: modified malahini

Thank Carl: My plan right now is to attack the areas I need to clean so I can get a level to sit properly and level the boat. Then I'm starting at the bow and working aft. I ordered my fuel tank yesterday. It is going in the bow, so when I'm tired of cleaning the inside, I will build the platform to...
