Matt: We've all blown through self imposed deadlines. I know I've said for the last four years it will be flipped by Thanksgiving and I'm still working on the hull.

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

I went to Neel's yesterday to get my lift strakes. Got a chance to see his progress on his Palm Beach. He is doing beautiful work. That is some building form he built. Also helped seeing his gentry "Scooter" out of the water and on the trailer. Clarified some things for my build.

Re: modified malahini

Picked up my lift strakes from Neel yesterday. Thank you so much Neel :D . They look great. Now I have to scarf them together to get the lengths I need and form them to the boat. I plan on making them up now and installing them after I paint with screws and 4200.

Fantastic Bob: Glad all went well. Can't give any advice on trimming, but I know we have many knowledgeable people here that can help.

Niko:

Maybe on of the power cats might work. Nice large open deck that can be fitted with benchs.

Just reserved a floating cabin for Lisa and me for the gathering. Can't wait. I didn't see the shirt design for this year yet.

Neel: I think they are very busy right now. I ordered mine about the same time you ordered your stringers. Yesterday Marianne said they hope to get to them next week sometime.

Cart looks good Neel. What do you think Starke will finish first, your stringers or my lift strakes?

Though a Nimrod in now a fool or a dolt, the original meaning was a skillful hunter. That is why the hunting club my dad belonged to was Nimrods 8. Eight guy who purchased land in NY state to hunt deer.

Re: Monte Carlo... is it the right choice

4th Bob: I had the same concern with the Malahini. I would like to use it in Barnegat and Raritan Bays, up the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers and on calm days sneak around Sandy Hook into the Atlantic. The hull is almost flat at the transom and I knew that wouldn't be possible. I am in the process o...
