Mounts

The flexible motor mounts came with the engine; and are probably made at the same factory in China. They are fairly flexible; almost a soft jelly like kind of rubber mount. Lots of spring to them. Flex Coupling

I Quote " For flexible mounted engines, a flexible coupling is a "must"."- Inboard motor installation, Glen L. Witt& Ken Hankinson. If I know this, I'd expect the guy I'm paying to install the engine, to at least listen to the man who was going to pay him. So, I'm back to square one, on getting the ...

Scrary!

Wow, that was really scary! I had been advised by a few people, to seek out the Help/advise of a man out here; who does mill-work, repairing cranes, and other heavy equipment. He just left- I showed him my new engine, I showed him the flexible feet it sits on. We talked about different ways to fill ...

Epoxy, then paint. If not you could end up like me replacing rot. and trying to epoxy over paint (Which isn't nearly as good, the epoxy won't bind as well).

Well... I guess it'll have to do..... Just let me know if you're not completely satisfied with the results you've received so far, We'll take you're boat, and put it in the drive way, right in front of Billy's "Bell isle" which should arrive here, any day now, as we hear he's already bored with the ...

Congratulations Don, I've always enjoyed your posts, well thought out, and informative. As to the boat slipping back. We always used a set of cargo straps, around the bow and the tongue of the trailer, for fear thee boat would slip back on the highway. If you had a second means of securing to the bo...

Missing persons?

What ever happened to our friend with the allergies, and the almost finished boat? did anyone ever get down to Fla. to help him finish?
And, Where is Dave? Or Waldo, for that matter?

Gregg
