I'll go back early tomarrow am and put on a third coat and see how she goes. With 11 holes to patch I get to experimen...

In case you need it; Dave put me on to some good stuff for rot:
smith's clear penetrating epoxy. Didn't have to replace the bad wood after all.

How am I going to glass upside down?

I've got patching to do; on the bottom of my boat. when I tried to glass upside down; the cloth didn't stay close enough to the hull.

I'm guilty of the double post, myself. I'm sure it's just a patience issue. You hit the post button... nothing happens, so do it again. oops! Anyway thanks for all the good work you do.

Holes and other problems

Back to the Holes!

Hey guys, so I'm patching my holes and found a wet -rot spot about 12" square, inside my hull. It didn't get through all that plywood; but, it seems the job just keeps getting bigger. How should I fill this once I get all the rot out?

Have you got your lead, yet? You might check with the guys at your local land fill/ dump. There's plenty of lead -acid battery lead around. I don't know about the environmental issues, though.
