Thanks Robert, I am always impressed by people who can see, "The big picture" He's now got two and a half more years, to build another boat, I'd like to fix a couple things differently if I had a second chance to build my boat. Sadly, I am not one of those people who, can always see the big picture....

Stuart, I guess we all know who's not going sailing with you! Where I come from, Waianae, on O'ahu; they would come on my property at their own peril. what are they, anyway, vampires? Why shouldn't you be able to make a reasonable amount of noise on you're own property in the middle of the day? Lawy...

When I bought my boat, the hull was already glassed out side. The inside should have been sealed with epoxy, to ensure that the water couldn't infiltrate the wood. instead it was just painted and left to fill up with rain. I have since repaired the rot that was the result. and fully glasses the insi...

I guess; but, I'd rather give it to one of you guys who would use it on a boat.
Like I said it turns the shaft on my 30' pig of a boat. it would move you're tug better than those trolling motors do.

48 volt D.C. motor

When I bought my boat the previous owner had installed a 48 volt; 50hp DC motor- belted to the shaft. It turned the prop. on that big beast of a boat. I just don't have the batteries to keep it fed. I'm removing it to install a 40hp diesel. If you want it you can have it. You pay to ship it. It's yo...

Steve, you kind of answered your own question. When you ran through all the specs. on your deep cell battery, you listed all of it's good and bad points. Now do the same with the golf cart batteries. List the cold cranking amperage, and the other stats. and see how they match up, against each other....
