Re: Malahini gas tank placement

Bob,

I couldn't locate my plans last night...will look again tonight. If I recall correctly it is marked either by a "C.B." or a wagon wheel.

Re: Batten placement

Some of the plans do have the battens proud of the frames...with this said, moving the battens on plans that call for recessed installation could have some potential compounding affects. For instance, the line where the the side and bottom meet at the forward part of the chine and stem could move. T...

Re: Malahini gas tank placement

Bob, I think you've got pictures of mine. I believe it is 24 gallons and is located under the rear seat. I tried to get it as close to CB as possible but there is just not enough room below the sole to get it dead center. Doing it again, I'd probably go a little smaller...18 gallons would be about r...

Good posts and advice...you're right...safety (boating, construction, operation...) would be a good topic.

I believe most people paint their boot stripe centered on the DWL...good question though!

Re: Dave Lott

I'll be over in his neck of the woods in a couple of months and will stop in to visit with him. I still have his cell number and may try to give him a call sometime between work and the kids' ball games.

Re: Planning for next year already

All, not sure if I'm going to be able to make it this year. My new job role is eating my lunch...more time, more traveling, more responsibility, more anxiety, no more money (of course)...I will have to play it by ear. Attending the gatherings has been a highlight of my year. You are all great people!
