Re: FOOD

It looks like we have lots of good food so I'm planning on beverages. I've got two big round Coke coolers that I plan on filling up with soft drinks and beer. If anyone has a preference let me know. That includes wine as well. Just don't get to exotic.

Re: ACBS Show on Lake Hartwell

I think Bob Smith will be there and I plan on driving up from Augusta. My Belle Isle is finished but I waited to long to register with the club so I won't be taking it,

Re: varnish or auto clearcoat?

Thanks for the help guys. Bill, I saw your boat last year at the gathering and it looks great. I think I'm in favor of clear coat. I do have access to a spray booth so spraying is not a problem. As far as cost is concerned every dollar counts but considering what is already invested it won't be that...

varnish or auto clearcoat?

I am about to make a decision on final coating on my "Belle" and I was wondering what you guys thought about the virtures of auto clearcoat as opposed to varnish. I have three coats of epoxy on the deck and hull with another in the works.

Re: Hatch Trim

Sorry to here you won't be there this year Bob. Our boat won't be ready this year but maybe next year we can get together. If you pass near Augusta in your travels be sure to stop in.

Re: Hatch Trim

Thanks Bob. I found Crusier Marine on the web the other night and ordered trim from them. No one else seemed to have 1 1/2" flat stainless already drilled. BTW are you going to G-8 this year. Ruthie and I are planning on it.

Hatch Trim

Hi Guys. I'm well along on my "Belle Isle" and I have been shopping for hatch trim for the engine compartment. I don't know much about and I'm confused about the difference between 304 and 316 stainless and which would be better for trim as well as all deck hardware. Also, would someone point me to ...

Re: Tahoe 23 Georgia build

Brad I live right around the corner from Doctors Hospital. Stop in sometime on your way home. BTW I have a friend, Brandon Stites, who is a pilot for the life copter that I think services Doctors. Perhaps you know him.

Re: Tahoe 23 Georgia build

Glad to see you are on your way Brad. I'm well along on my Belle Isle in Augusta so its nice to know someone else is building a big hull. I ordered my plywood from World Panel and had a good experience. They were the least expensive around (you can dicker with them a little) and the freight from NC ...

Re: 2014 Gathering G-8

First of all Ruthie and I had a great time with all our new friends at G-7. I want to especially thank Bob for the wonderful ride in his boat up the river. We plan on being back next year and the date is not a concern to us. I can add that the RV area at Hale's Bar is not great but is adequate and w...
