Aaron,

We would fasten the items to the hull prior to fiberglassing--turning it right side up and then back again to glass. Glad to hear you are thinking through the process...great question!

Aaron, We do not know of plans for seats or who would have them, but we have recently acquired the designs of Ken Hankinson, and his plans come with details on folding seats and the photo may provide inspiration: http://www.boatdesigns.com/products.asp?dept=737 I know I have seen photos of seat crea...

Aaron,

Paint your boat whatever color makes you happy! I think the colors sound great and fish...hey, they bite big plastic lures with hooks hanging off them...how bright can they be? (eeee, hope I didn't offend anyone)...

tfox,

The designer chose the planking most likely for weight as this is intended to be a fast boat. Therefore, he didn't think the additional side planking thickness was needed. Can you use 3/8"?...sure, if it will make the bends required.

Just so you know, the Allegra and Flicka are not Ken's designs so they are not part of the deal...these were Bingham designs that were sold through Ken. I'm not real clear about what happened to them.

But...we will have the tugs that Ken co-designed with Al Sorenson...

Warren,

You will need 2 ea #2 kits of Poxy-Shield to encapsulate the Malahini--that's two of the 1.2 gallon kits. FYI, there is a listing of encapsulation amounts in the Epoxy section:
http://www.glen-l.com/supplies/resin-est.html

Hope that helps!

Robert, Thank you (and Dave too) for the great comments about the Fiberglassing DVD. Would you mind if I use your post as a testimonial in our online store--the page describing this DVD? Let me know, okay? Thank you again... FYI, I think this was the very first video that we did and we taped the vid...

Andy, Hi, Darla checked our records and we show that you ordered Poxy-Shield in January and then a couple of times before you ordered Poxy-Grip. We have a new system, so we don't have order records before 2006 that are easily accessible. So, are you sure that you didn't add Poxy-Grip to the Poxy-Shi...

There is a link on the Glen-L website called "How Fast?" and there is quite a bit of information about speeds for the TNT with various motors:

Leakcheck, Thanks for asking! System Three is General Purpose resin, which is similar to Glen-L's Poxy-Shield, quality-wise. It is a 2:1 ratio of resin to hardener, Glen-L's is 5:1. The System Three Silver Tip is S3's top o' the line epoxy and the major benefit is that it is blush free. This means y...

Ron,

You will want to look for a design that has a similar sail area to your windsurfer sail. Of course, our Buckboard would work and then perhaps the Glen-L 10. None of our designs are meant for that type of rig, but looking for the closest sail area would be best.
