Fred,

According to Glen, yes you can modify the Dory Cabin E for the Sherwood Queen. It will have to be scaled down considerably.

Chris,

We don't know of a list of gas engines suitable for a mahogany runabout. We usually recommend using engines that have the most parts available such as Chevy. As far as conversion hardware, that is a limited market. We carry parts and also Osco, but I really don't know who else.

Okay, I'll admit it--I capsized the Bull's-Eye test model. Tried to convince everyone that I was testing it to make sure it could be easily righted, but I don't think they bought it. I felt it going over and could have stopped it, but hey, what fun would that be! It was very easy to right by myself ...

George, The great thing about building your own boat is that you can do whatever you want with it. You could probably get a 2" aluminum pipe to work as a mast, there will be some fittings you will need to fabricate. You will need a way to attach the base and a fitting at the top to run the halyard f...

Danny, It really is a matter of personal preference. Tha said, I think the Glen-L 13 would be best as the cockpit is good sized for two, plus I just think appearance-wise it is the nicest. You may as well go with the largest boat you can for your budget and this one should come within what you can s...

Dan, Great suggestion. We are seriously considering this and have been for a while. It is basically on my list of things to do. So, watch for that in the near future. Perhaps we will have a designer answer section, general questions about pricing section, shipping costs, etc (things that I could ans...
