Any real loss in operating performance if I move the strut forward and a little further from the rudder?

Prop hole and mock up

I made another (different) mock up on the boat this time. It turns out I had a 14 degree strut- who knew- anyhow the shaft centerline stikes the bottom 3 inches aft of the plans/drawings indicated dimension. Did all you folks have prop holes other than the design distance? The distances from prop to...

Angle

Thanks Bill for the quick reply. Your ability to measure these angles so precisely amazes me. How do you do it? I bought the running hardware about a good year ago based on the material list on the actual drawings. It was different from the written instructions in some cases. Now that I need them- I...

Monte Carlo strut angle and shaft log angle

What is the correct strut angle and shaft log angle for the Monte Carlo?
The plans, instruction sheet, and your website notes do not agree!

Do we know what point from the (measuring from the transom) that the shaft intersects the bottom (prop hole location) the drawing says 56"?

Help!

Paint color of velvet drive

Does anyone know of the proper paint color for a Velvet Drive transmission? Do you paint the bell housing the same color?

454 bellhousing question for Velvet drive

Hi, This is my first post.
I am building the Monte Carlo.
Glen L sells a bellhousing for a 454- that looks like it has feet built in.
Does this mean that I will not need to use any kind of mount on the Velvet drive? Inboard harware Item Number : 90-781
Thanks,
Rick
