Hey Rodger, The link to your build site does not seem to be working. Could you restore it.

Thanks,

I have pretty much narrowed it to a Riviera or a BarrelBack. All the vintage style runabouts are beautiful, though. I'm sure I'd be happy with any one of them. You're probably right. Any of those mounts would be adaptable.

Thanks

Do all the Hankinson designs of this venue utilize this engine mounting design? Do the Glen L designs have it? This may tip the scale in favor of what I decide the build.

Thanks,

Ron, I hope my deck looks as beautiful as the inside of your hull. Outstanding!!!! I like what appears to be an adjustable motor mount system. Is that commercially available or did you fabricate it? You guys are my inspiration. Hope to get started this winter, but I still haven't quite decided what ...

The finish looks really good, considering it is moored outside all summer. He mentioned some fading and some minor issues, but overall, it looks nice. I'll see if I can attach a photo.

Last Wednesday my husband, Rich, and I were fortunate enough to see and get a ride in Mark Bronkalla's BEAUTIFUL Riviera. I fully understand why he named it "WOW", because that's about all I could say. I guess I know what I will be building next winter. Mark's Riviera is into it's 8th year of family...

Thanks, Oyster. Clark Craft seems to be the only entity out there that offers any frame kits for deigns that are of interest to me. The Glen-L site shows a good quality frame kit, but does not appear to have one for any of the mahogany runabouts. Clark Craft has a kit for the Riviera, or at least li...

Thanks, Leakcheck. The plane is awesome to fly. The first plane I built was a SeaRey amphibian. Found out that boats make lousy airplanes and airplanes make lousy boats. Now that I have a good airplane, I need to build a good boat. I like the cold mold process and I'm leaning toward the BarrelBack 1...

Thanks, Dave. I'm sure there will be more new tools. The framing will be a good project over the winter in the shop. Then I'll be able to start construction up in my hangar in spring.

Thanks, novass. The as soon as I decide what boat, I'll get the plans. I like the Riviera and the Barrel Back 19. Just can't decide if I need the rumble seat or not. Both are "Drop Dead Gorgeous".

Thanks for the reply, shandman. I may just do the frames myself. If Glen L was selling them, I'd go for it for sure. Seems that they have more support and supplies. I liked what I saw on their site. Clark Craft should be OK, but they don't seem to have any details about the kit.

Riviera

Hello all! I'm new to this forum. I'm really interested in building either a Riviera or Barrel Back runabout. I've looked at the Glen L plans and the Clark Craft site. Clark Craft lists a frame kit for a Riviera. Just wondering if it is the same as the Glen L design and if the quality of the frame k...
