Re: Lacquer over Epoxy?

yes definitely test that as the thinners used with lacquer often will soften any coatings sprayed upon. I think you will be fine with epoxy but better safe than sorry.

Re: Converting a missile to outboard

If I remember correctly believe someone did this exact thing, converting a missile to an outboard, several years back and posted about it here.

This is in one in the customer photo archive on here

With aluminium heads and intake on a BBC it weighs about the same as a SBC does.

Re: glassing plywood prior to hull installation

I would think you would need to use something after the fiberglass has hardened to clean up the edge of the panel. I would think the fiberglass will likely stretch, somewhat, when you are wetting it out and stick past the edge of the panel. Just my thoughts.

Re: Can this be saved?

If I didn't do that I would likely drill a small hole though the piece at the end of the split. the hole should stop the crack from growing then I would try to spring\pry the crack open slightly and force epoxy into it. Finely I w...

Re: Tahoe 23 shifting motor further to the stern.

Probably the best way to get to where you want to be: Start with one of the triple cockpit designs, such as Monto Carlo, that is a true triple cockpit whereas the Tahoe shows 2 rows of seat, the Monte Carlo shows defined triple cockpit. this makes for a larger area ahead of the engine, and interior...

Re: HEMI!!

that motor alone is worth way more than 2500 bucks. Its a steal if a person could get it for that. Plus as you said you get the rest of the running gear. It would be a great scoop for someone.
