Re: divorcing an engine from the out drive???

It doesn’t look all that difficult to do. My only concern would be how moving that much weight rearward in the boat might affect its handling characteristics. I'm not familiar with those plans so I don’t know if a shift like that is within the design specs.

Re: Rampage v drive

There are lots of vdrive boats with v bottoms so you will have no issue with putting the drive train in that boat. Yes the tornado would likely have a higher top end in smooth water. The rampage however would have a smoother/faster ride in water conditions that would pound you hard in the Tornado. B...

Re: Lowe's Lumber Question

Plus that oak ply your looking at very likely has red oak veneers. Which isn’t an overly rot resistant wood. All other comments are largely on the money too.

Re: What is the length of a Series 3800 Trailer

I'm not sure what the overall length is but I'm sure someone will be able to chime in with the information. I have one thought though. If its close to being too long I would think it would be easy to modify the tongue of the trailer so that it could fold up for storage purposes. I don’t see that bei...

Re: possible Glen L Tornado

It has the same general lines, for certain. It may be a trick of light refraction in the water, but it appears to me to have some vee in the bottom at the transom, judging by the apparent angle of the cavitation plates to each other. If this is so, it is either modified on the bottom, as well, or i...

Re: possible Glen L Tornado

well if it does have a V then I would suspect its a Rampage with a modified deck. I'll find the pic of the inside. I'm pretty sure it was a flat but I've been wrong before...just ask my ex's
