Re: Barrel Back Build

Carl, the steamer was $45 at Wallyworld. Alycat told me about it. The hose gets hot!! And the PVC pipe warped a little, but didn't affect the task. I wrapped shop rags around both ends and let it drip in buckets. Keep it pointing down from steamer. Oh, wear gloves. That sucker gets hot! Next is cutt...

Re: Barrel Back Build

Steam bending sheers today. Special thanks to Alycat (Will) for suggesting a clothes steamer. It worked great. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/superglide56/SheerSteamBending_zps7c15079f.jpeg Clamped in place until it dries. Time for beer and football!! http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff55...

Re: Barrel Back Build

I thought I saw something on Glen-L that had a section on engine dealers. I need to start thinking about the power plant and have no idea where to start.....

I really liked Bill's Yanmar in his Tahoe, but I don't have that Swiss bank account like him........

Trackhappy wrote:That's a lot clearer, thanks. Hopefully Billyc's comment has answered it though, with photo's even. In the end, the sheer must be a fair curve all the way along, and that filler must follow suit. Does the filler appear the same at the previous frame?
It appears so to me....

But when I see other BarrelBack builds, I don't see that...
