Re: Building modified Everglade in Australia

It is with great relief I'm happy to report that out of a total of 250mm the vehicle suspension only dropped 50mm , after fitting some leg brackets and the fridge a further 5mm was lost. The camper must weigh much less than I anticipated and I will get it all on a weigh bridge in time to confirm thi...

You got enough truck mate? :D Andy, you're not the first to ask that , earlier in the thread I went over the figures and yes it will be close . From memory the full sized ...

Re: Building modified Everglade in Australia

C'mon mate. We're all waiting for the unveiling :o :D :D Doug Looking good Rich. The plating really sets off the white of the cabin. Looking forward to seeing the final mounting. So what kind of truck is that? I've never seen anything like that although it looks like the El Camino or Ranchero that ...

Re: Building modified Everglade in Australia

Very cool! You've got me wating one of these! That way I can tow the camper and boat at the same time! Thanks Andy , I'm sure I've seen a photo here on the Glen-l forums of someone who has done just that with a Glen-L camper & boat. Big day tomorrow after 16! months it's coming out of the workshop.

Re: Building modified Everglade in Australia

Platform no longer required and all but ready to drag the camper the rest of the way out the door next Sunday with the help of a few mates, while I was disassembling the platform I built the camper on I was just thinking WOW! Over a YEAR! Simply does not feel like it. Getting it on the Ute will be a...

Re: Building modified Everglade in Australia

Had to wait a few weeks for the aluminum to be cut and pressed to order so things slowed down a bit, also this time of year their are other priorities. Once the aluminum trim is complete I will fit the door then it will be time to get the camper outside on its pad so the rest can be completed. Certa...

Re: Building modified Everglade in Australia

That's going to be an awesome, go-anywhere camper. Thank you hoodman, that's the idea suitable for free camping and caravan parks as well. I've continued to work on the cladding and have now finished the sides and under the peak as well. All the windows are now installed and it's nice to be seeing ...
