Re: Latex Paint

:D the uncured varnish was 65 buck a quart can Epifanes .didn't know it was incompatable with Glen-l epoxy.I had let the epoxy cure for a couple of months and after a good scrubbing applied varnish and let that go for 3 weeks.was just like I had put it on.so zipped off and good scrubbing again appli...

Re: New to me Glen L Zip - what size motor to use?

:D Nice looking project.I used to have an 18 exactly like one you have(gave it to my nephew)Ran pretty good-only problem I encountered was seal under handle on fuel tank leaked so pressure tank leaked and motor didn't run so good.had lots of power when fixed.Seams those older motors had more power t...

Re: GERONIMO's progress & questions

:D That's what I did for chug however putting in some plastic(Plastic garbage bag opened up) first might help if you want to remove it later.the foam is some really sticky stuff(I got the 2 part mix from Glen-L)That little vibrating saw really works good for trimming foam

Re: increasing trailer length

from what I measured, the center of Chug will be over front axle.Chug is built 17ft size not extended.the boat trailer had an old 16 ft aluminum boat on it. picked up 2 pieces of 4 inch channel steel to fit over the 3-1/2 channel the trailer is made from.will have to disassemble to slide under boat t...

increasing trailer length

:D was thinking of increasing trailer length by fastening 2 lengths of bigger channel steel over the existing channel sides to accomodate another axle.trouble is this trailer is only 4 ft wide(for 8 ft wide boat)will have to be creative with bigger boat bunks.this trailer will only be used to transp...
