Re: Craigslist Glen-L 21CB?
I took the GlenL 21CB up to the San Juan Islands for a week. No real issues, but it's definitely under-powered with only a 2 HP motor. I'd say 5-6 HP would be about right. I built a little galley counter with sink that drains into a Homer bucket. faucet is the spigot cap on a Coleman 5-gallon jug la...

Re: Craigslist Glen-L 21CB?
Looks like you got one heck of a deal for $100. The only place I know of that you could have gotten one cheaper is Bill Edmundson. Happy Sailing! :D Yeah and I got the outboard motor for $100.00 too. Total for boat, trailer, motor, title transfer, taxes, tabs and parts so far is probably less than ...

Re: Craigslist Glen-L 21CB?
I bought an old Mariner 2 HP outboard, so I was finally able to take this boat out on the water on Sunday after a few maintenance items and a wash. The boat performed surprisingly well, and pointed high to windward. It seems seaworthy enough, doesn't leak, and the ride in the cockpit was pretty dry ...

Re: Craigslist Glen-L 21CB?
Doggone Photobucket is holding photos hostage now. I may fix my previously posted photos later. Meanwhile, I installed and raised the sails for the first time today. All the rigging seems to be present. Now that my Skipjack is finished it's time to turn my attention to getting this boat ready to lau...

Re: Photobucket mess
I am referring to attaching your photos to the threads in the Glen L forum. I used to use off site hosts in the Zip and Lower unit threads I created in the forum. Most of the pictures I posted are now gone. I started using the Glen L upload a few years ago and all the pictures are still there. The ...

Re: Photobucket mess
Roberta,
Can you explain how to use Glen-L's attachments? Are you talking about attaching your own photos?

Re: Photobucket mess
Man this really grinds my gears. I've got many, many forum threads at various sites that I've been using Photobucket to host photos for for over ten years. I'm inclined to tell Photobucket to take their third party hosting and stick it where it fits. No way will I finacially reward them for shafting...

Re: Best substitution for Honduras Mahogany
Hmm...Interesting that there's no "meranti" on that chart. And "Philippine Mahogany" is in the grey area of "mahogany in name only."

Re: Squirt questions
How do you intend to use your boat? The group can help you choose the best plans. Matt B To be built as a father/son project (Son will soon be 19 y.o.). Use would be as runabout on Lake Washington or Lake Sammamish mostly. These are fairly large lakes in the Seattle area. On a busy summer day there...

Re: Squirt questions
I was just looking through the outboards section of the plans...The Flying Saucer looks like a good step up but the Zip looks more like the elder sister to the Squirt to me. The asthetics and hull shape seem very similar, just larger, and it can take a larger motor. But I wonder about the cost and t...

Re: Squirt questions
Thanks everyone for your kind and detailed replies. Just what I was looking for. I'll look into the flying saucer too, as Hercdrvr suggested.

Squirt questions
Okay so I'm considering the Squirt for a future project, maybe as a gift for my son's college graduation (He just graduated from high school, so I have some time.) I have a few questions for you Squirt builders: The specs listed on this website show a cockpit width of only 36" inches. I would think ...

Re: Craigslist Glen-L 21CB?
Found two products: Ospho and Corroseal. Corroseal appears to be the better of the two.
