Re: Starting my first build with a jet TNT

Hi Denon, Yeah, I'm really excited to get this little under-powered TNT going! You're not that far away from me, being in the Ontario area. I'm sure we can set something up once the boats are running. I wanted to do a little traveling with the TNT to some various locations (I'd definitely like to hi...

Re: Inboard engine builds

Hi Denon, I think you're heading in the right direction for what you want to do. If this was my build, I would do the 496. Starting from scratch, it doesn't cost anything more for the extra cubes, and that American Turbine AA will like the torque. I spent a little time cooking up what I think would ...

Re: Hello Everyone! Especially those in Cold SE Michigan!

Hi Dennis!

Welcome to the unofficial Michigan chapter of the Glen-L club. It's great to see more and more Michiganders joining the fun!

The club dues are very affordable too. Just lots of build pics :D

Re: No limit to the jet squirt!

Hi Reynolty, From what I've learned, porpoising can be caused by several different things, and with the Squirt being both short and having a low-deadrise warped bottom design with very little "V" in the aft section of the hull, it's more susceptible to porpoising than other designs. The first thing ...

Re: No limit to the jet squirt!

Not sure what ski you pirated the powertrain from, but do you have any options regarding installing adjustable nozzle trim on the pump? (unless the cable at top center of the pump is in fact a trim cable?) You mentioned it being a '91 so I imagine not, but it would definitely be preferable to trim t...

Re: No limit to the jet squirt!

Looks great Reynolty! Judging by the last video, it looks like your Squirt handles the weight and horsepower really well. How much did you have to stretch the hull to make everything fit? It also looks like you don't have a lot of issues with porpoising either, so balance seems to be very good. Nice...

Re: No limit to the jet squirt!

Hi Reynolty, Your Squirt sounds like a great build and I'd definitely like to see some pics or videos on how you built it and how it runs! Since I decided to build my jet TNT, I've really gotten to like the PWC-powered mini jet boat concept and believe there should be many more of them. I think It's...

Re: Hi, New member in Idaho

Hi Mbevans! Welcome!!

Are you adding the V-drive to a hull you're building, or modifying an existing hull? And what hull are you doing the conversion to?

Thanks, :D

Hi Joshua,

The Zip is looking outstanding!!

I've stalked your thread since I signed up and I'm very impressed with your build and what you've done to make it distinctly "your boat".
A lot of great ideas and a very nice job on it!! :D

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Starting my first build with a jet TNT

Hi everyone, Just another mini update...... It's been slow going lately with a change in job status at the shop and learning the new position has taken a bit of time, along with other side projects getting in the way (spent the last few weekends restoring and modifying a LeMans carburetor for a frie...

Questions regarding laminating frames?

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on the build details for the frames on the TNT and I wanted to see if I could get some info if possible? Long story short, I'm doing the bottom and side frames in 18mm Mahogany and the double gussets in 6mm Okoume ply. I'm modifying the gussets to span across the b...
