Yes, I know Gayle pointed at the "new" 13 page thread in the small Outbords forum started by Hakanzorlu in 2006, what I am looking for is the old 39 page "Squirt Updates" thread that was in the Power Boat forum. It was started before we had a Small outboard forum, probably around 2003-2004. That thr...

Hi Gayle No, it is not that subject. Here is an old posting by Graham: Lots of us have built Squirts, it's a very easy first boat. Have you checked the Project Registry and Customer Photos sections? There are loads of examples there. And have you noticed that in the Power Boats section of this forum...

Hatch on a Squirt

I'm about to start with the desck-beams on my squirt, and want to have a hatch on the aft deck. I'm planning on using mini boot hinges at the rear like Graham Knight did on his boat. On the front of the hatch-frame, how do I build this so that it will open without bumping into the forward deck-beam?...

Squirt updates - where is that topic now?

There was a topic named "Squirt Updates" that was a 39 page "bible" about building the Squirt.
I have searched every possible way, but can't find it anymore. Is the topic gone, and can we please get it back, maybe as a "sticky" topic?

You need to get a cleaver prop, like a Ron Hill (Hill Marine) or something egual. I have a 16' v-bottom offshore racer with a Mercury 50Hp. I use a 11x21 Ron Hill cleaver, the propeller shaft is about 1" under the hull, and I have installed a Bobs performance waterpickup. You can make a WP yourself....

RoyH- Thanks for the information. Grandpa came from Romsdal, Norway. Hey, maybe we are related, my mother is from Romsdal. That is the Norwegian West coast. This is maybe the most "dramatic" part of the norwegian coast with some spectacular scenes. You should try to get over there if you haven't al...

Hi Dan, Which part of Norway was your father from? So you have 50% viking blood. Only half-crazy then 8) We never say only "Dussan", its "Hælle Dussan". We pronounce it as one word.."HælleDuss a n/HælleDuss e n". It is not part of a standarized norwegian writing, so you can write it in one or two wo...

There could be something lost in translation here, but if I understand the problem correct, here is how i did it on my squirt.. I devided the distance from frame #1 to the stem along the chine in 5 or 6 (can't remember). After that i did the same with the distance from frame #1 to the stem for the s...

The engine is brand new. Why dont you let the dealer have a look at it?

The boat looks lovely. I'm building a Squirt to, and would like your opinion about the handeling etc.

I like the idea of buying the plate ready with engraving directly from Glen-L as an option. If you choose to buy it with engraving, you can fill out a web-form when ordering to get tje lettering correct. And a humble wish from us abroad. I know the flag is important to you guys in the US, but if the...
