If I was to build the CB with an OB.. 8) .. I would not build a motorweld. I would use a Jackplate with 8-12" setback. Here is a couple of links: http://www.thmarine.com/product.cfm?PRID=166 http://www.bobsmachine.com/Products/jackplate_hydraulic.cfm With a jackplate you can keep the aft deck. The r...

Ready to glass - Need some last input !

I'm ready to put the fiberglass on the Squirt. The mat is 200gram(7oz?).

On the edge between the bottom and side panel, how big must the radius be to avoid problems with trapped air around the edge?

Can you move a 24' Runaboat out of the door?
If it was my garage I would have a double door on the short wall, but its maybe a little late for that now

But most of all I wish I had the space on my property to put up a "Boathouse" like this. 8)

If it was my boat, I would mount a nosecone and cleaver prop on that new motor. Thn you can lift the engine so that the prop-center is 1" under the bottom. The speed would realy jump up.
But it will be useless for waterskiing of course.. 8)

I have some 7% brown vinegar in the fridge. Is this the good stuff, or do you use a higher % vinegar?

Here is another tip on cleaning tools http://www.epoxyworks.com/24/pdf/Cleaning_Tools.pdf

How much lockwood stain on a Squirt?

have finished my planking now, and are about to stain before glassing. The planking is Brunzeel okume. I have ordered some water stain test samples from WD Lockwood. There is 1oz of powder in a test package. It should be dissolved in 1-4 pints of water. Will 2 pints be OK? that would give me a 3,125...

Matt, I'm told it's really Scandinavian. And, should be spelled Edmundssen. Bill Now that I think about it, it is of Viking origin, and how do you know you are not spelling it wrong! OK, a little OT, but since you are refering to us back in the viking theritory, here's a quick input the SEN-ending ...

Can the BB19 design be extended 10% by respacing the formers like the Glen-L designs? Could you have room for a V8 then? Here in Europe the Rover car manufacturer has a small aluminium 3.5l V8. I think this is an old Buick/Olds engine. Could this engine bee used in this boat. It shure is a lovely en...
