I had originally planned to have a flipping party with a bunch of friends but Covid put an end to that. Current plan is to use a combination of hydraulic jacks and block and tackle to roll it over. Feeling pretty confident that with my two sons we can get it done safely.

I agree it is better to shim with wood and refair. I had to do that on my chine where I got a little carried away with the planer.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Life........ Anyway. I have been making some slow but steady progress. Skeg and spray rails are done. One more round of sanding and I should be ready for some paint. Still on schedule to flip this year.

Hi Carl. Nick here. Really like the idea of leaving everything open and using folding chairs. Keeps things flexible and if you are going to do much fishing that open space will be much appreciated.

Absolutely love the Shinto saw rasp and now that I have been using a Japanese pull saw I will probably never by anything else.

I cut 1”x1” squares of half inch plywood, predrilled them, wrapped them in packing tape then added deck screws with steel washers. The tape keeps them from getting stuck.
