Re: Olds cool down

Yep it seems to be a bit of a black spot alright  and is really slowing down the search, I think back in the old days if a boat got too bad to use anymore they just tow them out and sank them in the middle of the lake  so now I'm looking for a needle in a haystack thats has lots of need...

Re: Olds cool down

Re: Cracker Box - Set-up Level

The same question was asked here http://www.glen-l.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25374 When you turn your boat over these frames will be the level point the tops of them are set 1" into the stringers, hope that helps clear things up for you. http://i753.photobucket.com/albums/xx179/fergalbutler/cra...

Re: Crackerbox conception

The height of the build form can be changed to suit your self, you might need it a bit bigger to give yourself enough room to slide underneath the boat or to save your self from bending down too much, don't go too high as you will want to be able sand in as far as the keel without getting on a stepl...

After spending yesterday looking for Old's Cool onboard the stunning barge Hawthorn http://www.bargehawthorn.info/ in the very pleasant company of Giles & Jill we eventually came across these images on the sonar, we were so sure this was her that we called out a diver to confirm. http://i753.photobu...

Good for you and welcome to the world of building classic looking boats :D To start with an outboard is the best way to start off it's a lot less of a trouble of an inboard and cheeper to build.
