Re: Has everyone been happy stretching the extra 10%?

" Is the performance penalty worth worrying about? " there is no performance penalty. remember, it takes more power to push beam, than, length. length on the waterline adds to performance (if all other weights/volumes are equal) also, the stretch adds buoyancy. OH!, I stretched and I'm happy. Ahhhh...

Re: Has everyone been happy stretching the extra 10%?

Stretch it. All the added length is in the cockpit. If the boat weighs 600 lbs. as planned, the stretch would add less than 60 lbs since all the stretch happens between frames. If I'm wrong you will have to go with a smaller cooler. :D :D :D Tom Noooooooooo, no smaller cooler, ill throw out one of ...

Re: Has everyone been happy stretching the extra 10%?

Matt, I was born in New Orleans, grew up fishing with my dad at night on the Mississippi, but I swear you look way more like your from Nawlins than I do! Glad I got that out of the way. Anyway, yeah an additional 18" of just mainly hull shouldn't be much in weight for sure. Probably the any addition...

Re: Other Things We Bring to the Gathering

Wow, sounding better and better. I assume someone will take charge and as the time gets closer and organize who's bringing what and when. May have to figure out a way to sneak off of work a day earlier so I can make Thursday the 13th as well. Hurry up September!!!

Has everyone been happy stretching the extra 10%?

On my upcoming Celerity build, in my mind, I believe the pros of having a slightly longer boat is worth the effort. Have any of you increased the length of the hull then regretted it later? Is the performance penalty worth worrying about? I could easily get away with building the Celerity the standa...

Re: New Member from Georgia

Michael, We are together on this...the guys name in Marietta with the Celerity is Jeff Price I believe. Unfortunately he's no longer a member. I've already reached out in the Misc. Section here for assistance in locating him. Some of his build is still in archives but not all. Appears he was doing a...

Does anyone know how I can reach this past member?

In digging back through the search engine here I found a name (Jeff Price) that is no longer a member. The reason I would like to contact him is back around 2011 he built what looked to be a very nice Celerity. Also he was from Marietta Georgia at the time. There are some photos his build still on t...

Re: Matt's Geronimo

Excellent replies gentleman. I can see me asking this question often to all of you who are in long-term projects and or have completed such a demanding task. I definitely can understand where daily effort will win the war in the end. Hopefully I've matured enough by now to follow through. The one th...

Re: What You Might See!

What I am hoping to see are the boats running up the river like in the videos from last year. Was cool seeing some of the stronger boats coming up and along beside the camera boat. That's some cool stuff there. Sure hope it's pretty weather.
