Re: Congrats to Dave Lott

I wood  add my congratulations too Dave, looks like a great group to be involved with. I have just subscribed to their web-letter, after reading this post, as I tend to devour anything that relates to wooden power boats.

Thanks for the link Mr upspirate, greatly appreciated.

Re: I'm now a professional photographer at Wooden Boat Mag L

Gidday Canoath, I quite like the shot also and we took a few similar atmospheric shots but I just don't think it is really suited to a magazine article, we're sure to have another early light, fog free day soon. I don't have you on our Aussie & NZ Glen-L builders list. If you would like to be added ...

Re: Monaco Progress Photos

Hi speed Just flipping through Monaco posts and found this one :? not sure how I missed it but you're frames look really good, nice work and nice choice of timber, sorry lumber, but as a furniture builder not too much of a surprise I guess. It's obvious that you're enjoying the build process. You al...

Re: Hello from Melbourne, sunny Australia

Hello Dave Welcome to the world of novice boat builders, we were all there once. For myself, that was only Two years ago. As far as I'm aware there are no Zip builds in Melbourne. There are however builders of the Amigo, Barrelback 19, Belle Isle, Bonanza, Mai Tai, Missile x 2, Ski King and a Whiteh...

Another option to check out is Eddie Marine CA. I found them to be good to deal with and they have a very good selection of gear including "pop-up deck cleats"

Re: "Down Under" projects/potential gathering register

Hi Peter I have added most of your details, taken from previous posts, to the Builders List already but if you could PM me your e-mail contact that would be great. As you may be aware, I now have 102 listed Glen-L builders (AUS & NZ) which include nearly 40 completed boats. I have been too engrossed...

Re: Tim's Monaco launch, Sydney, Australia

Thanks Jeff The bottom paint is actually called "Stars & Stripes" by ALEXSEAL paint systems. Glad you like it. I was originally planning to have the upholstery done to match this colour but changed my mind at the last moment and I'm very happy with the final colour choice. A more classic look. Note ...

Re: New member, Cairns, Queensland, Australia.

Gidday Jonty and welcome. If you would like to be added to our Aussie & NZ Glen-L build list pm me your name and e-mail address.

Our plan is to organize a gathering of Glen-l builders, just waiting on a few more completed builds, they're pretty close, before we start to get serious about it.

Re: Tim's Monaco launch, Sydney, Australia

Gidday Speed I'm glad you are finding my shots inspirational. I certainly drew regularly on Monaco and Riviera build shots from the web-site along with forum posts throughout my build for ongoing inspiration, we are all fortunate to be able to see and use these great shots. It's been said that a pic...

Re: Tim's Monaco launch, Sydney, Australia

Maybe the Hobart Wooden Boat Festival next year Blair. Thanks for all the supportive comments, very much appreciated. Performance report - We took the 5.7 litre PCM up to 50mph at around 5000rpm (still running engine-in of course). She gets up on the plane easily and cruises nicely at 30 to 40 smile...
