Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

Hi, Thought I would check out how the spray rails work and take a photo. I was supposed to see that the was no water touching the rails at all. The water was sheeting straight off the hull, this photo was taken at about 25 mph, at the lower speed they seems to help but at higher speed this is how th...

Re: Aussie Belle

Hi all, Took the Belle out for another camping trip. We are certainly putting her through her paces lately and this trip was or to remember. Arrived on the Friday and went out for a run before sunset, was a nice afternoon with a late storm close by but no rain. Saturday we took the kids on the tubes...

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

Hi, Will put my 2 cents worth in. I didn’t want to install spray rails at all due to the fact I thought they looked ugly ( mind you when I first started looking at designs I thought the Barrelback was ugly 🤷‍♂️) I bit the bullet and installed a rail but only from just forward of the rear cockpit (I ...

Re: Aussie Belle

Thanks gents,

Matt,

Where I live our boating season is all year round! 😁

Winter temps are average of 15 degrees cel to about 24 in the middle of the day.
We swim all year round here.

Boat will get plenty of use.

We are planning lots of camping trips this year

Re: Aussie Belle

Thanks Carl, On Boxing Day the weather looked a bit gloomy but we took the Belle out for a run at the dam. Little bit of wind but not too bad, dam was busy though. Anyway we run the Belle in the dam for a bit over three straight hours with no issues. New carby worked well, and leak in the transmissi...

Re: Aussie Belle

New carby arrived today along with a new pump for the velvet drive as I discovered I had fluid in the bottom of the hull again! Am hoping that the new pump is the issue as there are no other visible leaks anywhere. Going to fit everything up and hope to take her out on Monday or Tuesday. Tony, I wil...

Re: Aussie Belle

Thanks, I am running a Quadrajet at the moment, have been looking at biting the bullet and buying a new 750 Holley Marine, will be about $1,000 by the time I get the adapter plate, carby and fuel rail. But think I will go with that as they are nice and simple. Leaving my run late to get one before X...

Re: Aussie Belle

Hi all, Well today was the day, we re launched the Belle, tipped the bubbly over the bow and a quick swig for me. Video attached of the first steady pass after launching. A friend of mine jumped in and we went for a few runs and put it through some paces, all was good. Wife and kids hopped in and we...
