Re: Hi from Perth, Australia

Well at least you'll have something extra to look forward to when you come home! Be sure to take some pictures of it in the water, that's going to be quite the site.

Re: Any advise for installing shear on 19ft Tahoe.

I know there's a bit of a size difference but on my Squirt I went this route: - Cut the sheer into 2 pieces to be laminated - Soaked both pieces in a PVC pipe with water for a day (I just soaked the length that was making the bend) - Starting at the breast hook, I made the bend using clamps every 5&...

I don't have any suggestions but I always like the threads on these builds. Once you get some work done post some pictures, should be a fun project

Re: Another Jet Squirt is born.

Fourspeedfish, when I faired my sheers I ended up having to take quite a bit off. I used a 6" wide piece of scrap plywood to test the angle from the sheer to the chine. You want to make sure the mating surfaces have full contact with the plywood, so when you begin planking there's a snug fit.

Re: Microplas Microboat

I think those 1950's to 1960's one-person fiberglass boats are really cool. There was a pair of similar looking boats that came up for sale north of me for around $200 a piece and was really tempted to pick them up.

How much does it weigh? It could be a lake hopper.
