embony is also called iron wood and was used to make bearings long ago in boat build but very costley and but finishes nice almost pure black in color. But it is hard to work

:roll: wish i could go fishing, there still is snow in the mountains and the lakes here in the Utah valley are open but still gets pretty cold at night. I haven't check fishing report as of yet. cant start the boat yet still need to find my place to build.

I really wish i was still living in Ohio i have 176 acres of hard woods just before I moved back to Utah I gave about 500 board foot of mixed hard wood to my brother that i had seasoned for 10 years.
