one of these is an absolute must in my shop (not necessarily this brand). great for glue removal, sharpened they act like a spokeshave. this will make fast work of scraping off the soft resin without gumming up a lot of sandpaper.

Epoxy is normal pretty foolproof. Most companies would suggest that failures like you've experienced come as a result of incomplete mixing, if the correct proportions have been maintained in the suggested temperature range, regardless of the speed of the hardener. hey, everyone, thanks for your thoughts. It appears that there is no clearcut consensus as to preference. Either way, I'll be installing an in-line filter for particulate and water. I'll second Roberta's observation--ain't this forum great

It's decision time to select a fuel tank to go into my Gentry. What are the pros/cons of a plastic tank verses a metal one. I'm using little strips of scrap plank mahogany to staple through, into the hull. staples are 1/2" long. I'm using a Porter Cable US58 1/4" to 5/8" 22 Gauge Upholstery Stapler.

For the final planking layers on the side, I divided each frame equally from the chine to the sheer into 5 parts. I cut strips out of cheap luan plywood milled to the width and thickness of the mahogany I had already created for the side planking. In my case those planking strips were all 5 3/8" wid...
