Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Thanks Gayle... It seems as though others (Matt B) have the same problem with photos.

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Thanks David,,,,, I think I may have to get one of my grandchildren to translate the information for me.... I did do an experiment with my phone camera. Yesterday when I took the two pictures I posted, I took them in the as a portrait, and something changed them to landscape. This morning I took ano...

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Carl... I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 android. I did have an S5 and it worked fine. I see many other photos here on the forum with the same problem. Maybe it could be fixed at Glen-L

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Back in PA and back at boat building. Why do the pictures post 90 degrees out of level? Is this something new?

Re: Bob Brown’s Belle

Thanks Bob.... I think I get it, but I've gotta quickly get to my "Thinking Chair" ….. I'm having a little trouble figuring out the come along, how it's attached, and what it is attached to. Also not clear on the strap shortening process and how it failed....

Re: Bob Brown’s Belle

Very nice Bob.... Would you consider making a drawing of the "flipping gantry"?? I can't quite figure out how it all works and it looks like it's the only way to flip a boat. Thanks,,, Neel

Re: Tom's Tahoe

Tom… You can mount a loud 12 volt horn under the deck near one of the cowl vents. I did that on the Gentry and it is plenty loud

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

I started back up on the PB after the Gathering and then my wife and I beat feet for Florida for the month of October. I will be back in PA by Monday and back to work with the plywood cold molding on the sides. I will post some pictures late next week. We will be in PA for November and December and ...

Re: Tom's Tahoe

Tom…. Great workmanship. Seeing the finished product is definitely on my bucket list.....I am sure we will be seeing more raised cowls, racing stripes (I love them), and seamless decks on future builds. NICE JOB !!

Re: connect 18g wire to 16g

Bryan......I'm with Bill on this one... Use the 14-16 connectors. When I have done this, I strip enough off the 18 ga. wire so the tin wire can be bent over to make it thicker. Then after you put it all together and heat up the connector, both ends will seal up

Re: modified malahini

I agree with Matt.... One small pump with auto feature built in. 500 to 800 GPH will do it. I had four pumps in the Gentry, two at the transom and two at the lowest place in the hull (forward of the engine)…. A total overkill

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.... I really don't think it will be ready for G-14 Ken. Possibly G-15. My goal is to finish it before Carl finishes his Vera Cruise. Maybe Carl and I will both be taking our recently completed boats to G-15.
