Re: Count Down

Can we start the count down for next year? I hope to be able to make that one to meet some fine folks.

Re: Fiberglass Boat Repair and Modifications

Thanks for all the replies on this. Lots of info to think about. As a reminder this is for the interior of the hull and not for use inside of a mold. As of right now this project just got push onto the back burner as now I have a few new to-do items for the house to get done. Hopefully I can get the...

thanks for the good wishes. we have been getting some rain and wind since this afternoon. waiting for the worst of it to hit in a little while. So what does one do while waiting on the storm, work on the boat of course. It sure felt good to get back started on it.

Re: Fiberglass Boat Repair and Modifications

Thanks Bill,

Can the gel-coat be put down with roller and/or brush and can it be put down as non-skid since it will be in the interior of the boat?

Fiberglass Boat Repair and Modifications

Hey All, I have a new winter project on my fiberglass boat, a 1993 Kenner 16 ft. center console. The carpet in it has finally worn out and in need of replacement. Instead of putting in new carpet I would like to finish the inside with some sort of splattered/webbed type paint/gelcoat. Since I need t...

Thanks Roberta,

This is the kind of info I was looking for. I am just trying to think ahead before I cut out some of these parts.

Bill,

My situation has change and I will not be able to make it.

I cancelled my reservation for floating cabin #7 and should be available to someone else.

Re: Cabin Available for G2012

Due to other expenses I will not be able to make it to the Gathering this year. This is a diappointment for me as I was looking forward to meeting other Glen-L builders. I will just have to look forward to next year.

I just cancelled my reservation and floating cabin #7 should now be available.

Re: Carling Dim on the Flying Saucer or Zip

Thanks Roberta,

I am trying to decide what a pleasing size would be so I can match uo my deck beam to it. I am thinking about 4" would be good. Also thinking about enlarging the dash beam profile.

Carling Dim on the Flying Saucer or Zip

I have a question to all the Flying Saucer/Zip builders (or anyone else). I am in the process of laying out my deck beams and want them to match up to the carling on the bottom side. The plans call out for a 5/8" x 2 1/2" carling on the Flying Saucer and this seems a little small to me. I am thinkin...

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

Carl, I might be a bit late since you have made your lumber order already. In the past I have called my lumber supplier to find out what range in width and length they had. They would allow me to specify a min width and length for my order of rough lumber and I would have them surface 2 sides and st...
