Re: Aussie Gentry
Yes, that's what I needed. I am thinking of something similar. Thanks.

Re: Aussie Gentry
John - Your build is looking great. I had the same concern about getting in my Monaco from the water. How wide did you make that step at the stern? Also, how far above the bottom did you place it?

Re: Monaco Restart
Thanks for the kind words. The method of sanding drum and filling the gaps was the process I was going to use. I'm glad to be moving on to a new stage of construction.

Re: Monaco Restart
More pics of the prop shaft drilling. Not sure why I can't post more than 3 at a time.

Re: Monaco Restart
Today was a minor milestone – drilled the prop shaft hole. I first made a full size drawing and adjusted the locations of all the components until I was satisfied all was correct. Thanks to Skip for all of his direct help and to others that I researched. I then inset the strut slightly less than the...

Re: Making progress on my Monaco.
Skip, Your build is looking absolutely fantastic! The interior is very close to what my wife and I have looked at . . . . but more of a "Butter" as she says. Once again, a beautiful build. Congrats. Chris.

Re: Monaco Restart
We probably didn't meet but maybe saw each other. I only met a guy with an old Chris Craft he had purchased refurbished. He was near the bridge, downriver side of the road. I think his name was Paul. Talked with another fellow who had his boat in the water near the same location. Where were you loca...

Re: Monaco Restart
Thanks guys. I went to our local wooden boat festival recently in Madisonville, LA. I had hoped to be there next year but lots of work to complete. Wow - I wanted a complicated, long term project. Be careful of what you ask for. LOL. Chris.

Re: I'm a Boat Builder! G-L Ski Tow under construction!
Condolences for your Mom. Mine is 92, lives with us and is still going strong. In my 50’s now and I’d take 85 for sure. Chris.

Re: Making progress on my Monaco.
Skip, I had asked you a bunch of questions via your direct e-mail address to which you sent me some great responses. Now that I am preparing to cut into the hull for the various shafts, water pick-up, etc. I cannot find the e-mail string. Can you send me your e-mail address so I can search my files?...

Re: Monaco Restart
Finished the hull wood. Let the sanding begin. Hope this is what it’s supposed to look like at this point. I am dreading cutting into the hull for the shafts, water pickup, drains, etc.

Re: Engine mounting in a monaco
I am currently looking for the engine for my Monaco. I'm not too good with the Forum strings so I don't see how to get in touch with the supplier of the Lexus engines. Please post that. I'm interested.

Re: Build planning - When/how to chose the engine
I didn't see all the responses at first. I am considering the one door hatch based on accessibility to the engine bay. Very good point. Chris.

Re: Build planning - When/how to chose the engine
Thanks. The scoop on Alex's Cracker Box is sick. It is so fine my eyes are hurting. I think I'm going to order the engine I want just because it is too tall so I can try to build that! There doesn't seem to be a Torpedo section under Galleries in order to be able to see Roberto's scoop. I know I've ...
