thanks guys, Randy, i do have negative trim, I did what you said, put a straight edge on the bottom of the boat. there's alot of mercury fever running round the forum. The upper cowl, faceplate & badge, choke knob and the stainless steel shroud are at the polisher, should be back by weeks end. Scored a nice set of quicksilver controls. i painted up the lower cowl, housing and lower unit. Im looking for a start...
