Great Picture of Flying Saucer

Great picture of me and my mom. She is 85 years young. That was a million dollar day. Minus 5 grand it cost to build the boat. Im up $995,000

Re: Flying saucer

The other thing about the bridge deck bench seat: On the rare occasions that you are in the boat alone, you will want to sit in the middle of the bench seat, especially at 240lbs. The other thing I noticed, having built another runabout with no bridge deck, is that all the gear you bring, is all ove...

Re: Andy's Zip build

those pics are great. go figure, 60 years later they bring a smile to my face. outstanding. Go easy on your deck plans, keep it simple, boating season is 12 weeks away.

Re: Flying saucer

it's very easy to put your butt on the bridge deck and swing your feet over. I would leave the bridge deck.

Re: Ryan's ZIP build

60mm transome sounds excessive. None of my outboards would fit over a transome that thick. I would not put the gas tank under the front deck unless you could vent it through the deck itself. you wouldn't want gas vapors to build up down there (obviously). Better safe than sorry.

Re: What difference between Zip and Flying Saucer?

Not much, about 9 inches between the stretched FS and the stock Zip. Re: Just got my Riviera Plans!

Congrats and good luck Ken. I'll never forget the day I received my plans. Its a very exciting moment. Looking forward to see your build progress. I would have loved to build a boat when my kids were young, what a great father/son(s) project. Please send my regards to your dad.

Thank you sir, your opinion seems to be the concensus. I guess its a common problem. I'm gonna send the LU to Tim Digennaro at Tims Classic Outboards.

1956 Johnson 30hp jumping in and out of forward gear

Hope all is well, I have an issue I hope you can help me with. Towards the end of the 2011 season my motor kept jumping out of forward and into neutral, I would just pull the shift lever back into the neutral postion, then put it in forward again and it would go back into gear. I ended up adjusting ...
