I would show them all ten of my middle fingers and tell them to "Bring It". We 'll see who looks like a jerk when the dust settles.

Re: did I screwup my build? or am I not fairing right?

What GD said!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forward of frame 5 1/2, the angle created when the side and the bottom planking comes together, can very well go from convex to concave, as it gets closer to the stem. Mine did for sure, Dave Grasons did, and I ve seen a few others as well.

Your doing fine.

Re: Adding Electic Start to a Merc Mk 30 Issues

Looks to me as if, the plunger on the choke solenoid is going to fall out. It is extended out to far, in the open position. I would mount it correctly and make sure it in good working order. Look at my picture, the plunger is not extended as far in the open position.

Re: Adding Electic Start to a Merc Mk 30 Issues

Charlie,
I would mount the soleniod in the boat. You dont want a make shift mount to come loose and ground out your motor. It is a tight area, I would put it the boat where there is more room, and less metal. Thats how I ran last season with my johnson.
