A little glass work,just to see how things fit. Will need to do some triming on the step. Think i will layup the step first on the other side. Would this be a good place to try CPES (Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer)? Drill some holes and inject to lock things back up.

And a welder too! Very cool! Good idea having the axle on a slide. As you add the "STUFF" you will be able to keep the tung at the right Lbs!

All boats have a presurewave that forms at the stern . It would take some field testing but as long as the cavplate/water pickup under it, is in that wave you should be good to go. Maybe 1/2" lower would be a better idea? Take a look and see? Draging more in the water is a lost of boat performance. ...

When you pulled the lower unit was the shifter in Fgear? Was the other lower unit in Fgear? Take a Vgrip and put it on the splined shift shaft,front of gear housing. Don't damage the splines! Now turn it to port. If it moves with little effert ,it is now in Fgear. Now with steady presure turn it to ...
