Jon

I push a 20'-6" Tahoe at 38 MPH with a 115hp diesel, straight 4. You don't have to have 350hp. Actually the boat was not designed for it.

Misc.

The boat ramp actually belongs to TVA. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OVER THERE! Hales Bar has a good safe area.

Re: Motor for flying saucer

John I think the 30 would be a waste of money. The added HP comes at a cost. If you look at power to weight ratio of the running boat, there would be very little gain in performance. Save your money and some gas and go with the 25. My guess at numbers says that the 25hp will get you to 28 MPH. The 3...

Re: Intake Strainers

If fuel vapor comes through the hose, it simply goes out the bottom of the car. In a boat that goes to...

If you get knocked out by something like a hurricane and have to work, I'll see that you get your shirts. Some silly excuse like you child got married I won't send the shirts. You knew that was coming.

Re: Utility build

Matt Flaring tool? All you need is a bolt and three washers. Cut the tube 1/8 to 1/4 long. put a bolt that is smaller than the hole through with 2 heavy washers on the pre-flared side and one lighter ones on the new side. Bend the new side a little. As you tighten the bolt, the single washer will st...

Steve

I bought all my marine ply from Homestead for the Bartender. All at one shot. I think it was 34 sheets at a 15% discount. I had it shipped to a Birmingham terminal where I picked it up.
