Re: Québec

I'm sure Gayle would replace that sheet. I may still have 50% size copy that I could send him.

David

It comes with 80, 100, and 120 grit belts. This thing will really eat some wood. Try it first. The down sides to me is the grip gets pretty hot and I can't get 2 1/2" x 16" belts at the box store. The belts are out there on line.

The Navy boat looks like it came from Austral in Mobile.

Re: Window Frame Design

The windshield frame on the Bartender is 1 1/4" like Billy guessed. I'll try to scan the profile and post some pictures tomorrow.

Epoxy doesn't bond well with it. I set mine with 3M4000UV (now 3M3000UV). Of coarse, with screws.

Re: Michael's ZIP

Just a bad thought. If you put Styrofoam in the limbers, then a little squirt of gasoline will melt it right out. Of coarse then you have napalm in your boat.

They have 1x_ and some 2x_ at the box store. I like it for the skeg. I used it at the shear/rub-rail on a dingy. Just flip it over and walk off. No worrying about scratching it.

I don't know. The can of Lust says up to 5 coats per day, wait 48 hours for the next coats. They recommend 6 to 8 coats.

As many of you know, I had a major failure on my deck coatings. I'm in the recovery mode. I have several product I will try. Pettit High build, Total Boat Lust, Waterloc. and something else. I'll map out where I use each. Some I've gone to bare wood and some I have recoated. The boat has pretty bad ...
