convertable sculling skiff

Post by jeffk » Mon Feb 13, 2012 10:14 am

hello lookng for thoughts on an idea. I am building the sculling skif and plan to build the sliding seat also, but sommetimes I want to take my wife. She is a small woman. So I am thinking about extending the rails for the sliding seat and making two small frame seats that would bolt to the rails and allow both of us to paddle using kayak paddles. we have a portion of the lake that doesnt allow motors and is quite protected save the afternoon breeze. any thoughts or pics of similar seats would be appreciated.

I have a boat that can be rowed, paddled or even sailed. I built it so that the sliding seat can be removed and it uses removable kayak seats. I have gel seats so my delicate tushy is nice and comfy.
