Not mine Dave ,but i did think about it two many projects on the go now, it would be awesome to drive, it looks to be about
the size of a zip with a 350 chev in it . there must be lots of these old boats around just a matter of finding them , this one was by pure chance......

It was nice to meet you both. Unfortunately I had to get Tracey home earlier than I would have liked. It was great to catch up and swap stories and ideas. Does 3 of us constitute a mini Gathering???
Shame we weren't offerred a ride in the Hankinson...

Good to see you guys catch up....
But sorry to burst your bubble... I recken that in order to be classed even as a mini gathering that it needs to include at least 2 boats????  :D.

We are trying our best... Old Aussie saw 4 boats, surely that counts for something.....

We did decide that we need to find somewhere with pontoons or docks for our "proper"gathering as the sand and wave action seemed to be a little hard on the wooden boats present.

I'd keep a good hold on the "loud shirt" if Dave Lott were to see that he'd want one too. I do like his classic wooden boat shirt.

Hi Guys,
My name is Al Anderson and I live in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. My son and I are just about to start on the journey of building a 20' 6" Chinook in aluminium. We are probably looking at planning and material gathering taking us to the end of this year (2012) the about an 18 month to 2year build time. I would be more than interested in getting involved in a "Downunder" gathering even if our craft is not ready to take part!!!
Just a thought, does it need to be a Lake? I could think of nothing better than showcasing our crafts in Sydney harbour with the opera house and the harbour bridge as a back drop.

Hi Al, Yep it is a good thought but some boats may not be set up for salt water....also hoping to get somewhere central? which I think will be hard to do...
