No more PoxyGrip, going to miss it. I love that stuff. The only measuring technique I ever use is, squeeze the jug to get a glob out and then squeeze the other jug for about the same size glob. Same results every time in just about all temps.
I’ve heard more than once, “Dad, get your glue out of the oven.”
What is the closest equivalent product available?

Matt,
We still have quart kits available of the Poxy Grip. I really don't know of anything that is comparable but I know that other builders use the System Three Gel Magic.

Gel Magic is great. You can get it in larger containers. I especially like the cartridges because you can direct the product right where you need it with little waste. Plan ahead and keep product moving through the tip to prevent curing in the tip and clogging. I generally found I could be inactive for about a half hour. Helps to have extra tips for cartridges with leftovers.

John and Gayle,
With lots of time on your hands now, you can write a book; "The Glen-L Story" !
The complete history with lots of pictures.
Can we be the first to order a copy, in advance ?

John and Gayle,
I was sad to read your note last night that you sold your business. I joined the facebook group through the link you gave us hard to know what will become of this forum and the volunteer moderators who keep it going out of their passion and love.
I wish you the best and a healthy and happy retirement. I am sure your Son, lab Buckshot and Dad are smiling at you from Heaven and support the decision you have made.
I am happy I went through a buying streak this past year buying RowMe plans, fiberglass, stitch and glue kits, Power Skiff plans and Console Skiff plans I think I am set for the rest of my life if I want to build the Console Skiff.
I will post my 1st launch RowMe video here on this forum and the facebook group when the weather warms a little more and I take it out for the first time.
It is a pleasure knowing you and doing business with you.

Gayle and John, Kind of sad to hear that you sold the business. Good luck with what every you two do in the future. I was glad to have met you at a gathering. You are great people and will be missed.

I'm glad to hear Gayle is able to pass the torch to another, and keep the plans alive and available. Josh wants to keep the forum going and that is good news.

Re: Glen-L Newsletter & Builder Galleries
Wow, I did not get the email but found it on the Facebook page. Congrats to Gayle and John on your retirement. I thought the secret boat that you guys were building was a cruising sailboat and you would sail off into the sunset one day. In September, several of us had a long conversation about the future of Glen-l and wondering who would carry the torch. It's good to know that your Dad's plans are in good hands and will available to the next generation of dreamers and builders. Just know that you'll always have unlimited boat rides at any future Gathering.

As of March 1, 2021, my husband John & I have sold Glen-L Marine to Duckworks in Port Townsend, WA. All of our inventory and designs have been transferred to their location. So, you may encounter some issues with email or perhaps phones while this transition takes place--we really appreciate your understanding with this.
I sent out an announcement last week and apologize that I didn't post this sooner. It's just John and I here and we had to get everything packed last week and we were overwhelmed. You can read our announcement as well as a message from Josh Colvin of Duckworks here:

The Forum will remain as is as well as our sites. I'm really looking forward to the good things that Duckworks will do for Glen-L to further my father's legacy. You folks are the heart of our company and we truly appreciate each of you.
(Note: I posted this in "Announcements" as well)
