I thought some of you may enjoy this video. About two years ago, I had a chance to buy an original Chris Craft boat kit in it's original box from a guy in PA. It was a 16ft outboard. This is a really neat old promotional film. They really thought of a lot of nice touches to make these boats easy to assemble and they used real mahogany. I read that they made use of the left over and scrap wood from their plant to start the kit boat business. A company named James Craft owned the rights to reproduce these kits, but they went out of business last year.

Here ya go...third item down $9,000. There are also a couple of other completed CC kit boats for sale.

I also thought the dad in the video was a little wild with his fish hook dangling behind junior's back.

$9000.00 seems a little excessive! if you could get that much for a wooden boat kit, i would be selling them!

I would have expected a cabin cruiser kit for 9K. But the kit in the demo video seemed to be well produced. Any new builders should take note of the shape of the chines in the video to get an idea of how they are faired. It was painful watching all that hand drilling and screwdrivering.
