Ah'm thankin everbody who's thankin me! :P

For all of us who were overseas on a "Veterans Day", can you recall where you were and what you were doing?

1958. I was in Korea. (too young to realize anything about Veterans Day!) Part of a crew of guys digging up bones n stuff, looking for the "Caucasian Persuasion" remains or any other Remains that might be I.D. by the Graves Registration guys.

We spent three days in nice sunny shirt sleeve weather diggin up bones!

It was one of the most intense learning 'few' days of my lifetime. Empathy is the word the poets would use, but to me, I began to live those guys lives, right to the end.
About that time I became disgusted with anybody who wouldn't do their share, but still would enjoy the fruits of those who died doing their share.

Thanks to all the veterans.

My Dad was an electrician in WWII. He helped dismantle some of the Jewish prisoner compounds and gas chambers in Germany. Many of his unit were killed in England as they also ran the search lights during the bombing of England.
