I was fortunate to attend this boat show with my wife the previous weekend. I wasn't taking photos with the idea of posting them here, otherwise I might have taken more. But I thought people might enjoy a few. You can see them here:

Yes, it was amazing to see so many beautiful and rare boats in one place. I found it impossible to pick a favorite. The large boat with the aircraft style plating is the Thunderbird: a 1939 55' Huskins Hacker-Craft. Currently running two 1,000 hp Allison V-1710 engines. Originally a commuter boat, now maintained by a Foundation. The smaller rocket ship looking boat with the aircraft skin is the Hornet II: 1935(ish) Gar Wood with currently a 700 hp 12 cylinder Roll Royce engine. As you might expect, it won many races at Tahoe. Someone drove this in to dock while we were there, and it sounded as intimidating as it looks.

All in all a great time, and inspirational for my own project which is just getting going.
