I just got my "silicon bronze" fastener kit for my Utility and i went ahead and bought the dvd of the Hankinson Interview. I highly reccomend it to anyone who looks at ameteur boatbuilding as more then just a hobby! The interview was very cool!

Hey Gayle! I want to see a Glen L. Witt interview come available!!!!!!!!!

Good to hear you enjoyed the Hankinson interview. Ken really prepared for that interview and had extensive notes he had put together--he's so organized and methodical. Barry and I had a really nice visit with Ken & Elaine on that trip and I think of it often.

Don't hold your breath on a Glen Witt interview! I can't tell you how much I've wanted to do an interview of him but he will not do it. He's very camera-shy. It's unfortunate because I think it would be invaluable (mostly to me :)) Many years ago, my niece interviewed him on cassette tapes for our family history so we do have that. But, it's not specific to boat building and the company.

I wonder if a happy compromise would be to do an off-camera (voice only) interview, using photo's and video footage instead?

I know how much I cringe at seeing myself on video, more and more as I get older. I still do it, but if given the chance I'd rather have the audience suffer through something else than my big mug on the screen.

It's for posterity... right?

Even a voice only with pictures to follow along with the story (like a story book) would be awesome. I often have wondered what got Glen started and his motivation?

what would be really cool is if Glen could do some sort of an audio commentary about some of the more popular designs (like a podcast).
