I was just flipping through my copy of the Grand Lake Visitor Guide which showed up in the mail today, and there was Dave beautiful boat on page 19.

It was an add for the Heartland Classics boat show.

Funny how you remember certain things. I remember the photographer on the dock taking this picture. A group of us had boated up Grand Lake to have lunch. We had just stopped and there was no slips left. So Forrest and I just tied off on the end of the pier. Great lunch. Dangerous lake with many shallow areas. The next day, Forrest shattered his drive shaft while on the lake in high winds and almost got beached on heavy rock before a rescue boat got to him. The winds and waves were so strong his anchor would not hold. That would have been really rough to have his boat tossed up and down on the rocks.
