For those of you in So California, there is an interesting Build a Boat Event put on by the Ocean Institute in Dana Point tomorrow--Saturday, June 10. The participants are provided with about 3 sheets of plywood and a few other materials and have to build a boat in 4 hours. Then they have to paddle it on a short course and make it back to shore. Sounds kind of fun--one of the groups is using our Pirogue design. For more information:

That is just SO California!

Why can't they do anything without a darn deadline?

Ok, I'm kidding. ....and wishing I lived in Cali. I would love to get in on something like that and they sure don't do anything like that around here.

Dave the really NEED a deadline. Why do you think they only have four hours to complete the boat? It should be a mandatory program for all California residence who live within 100 miles of the coastline, cuz when that baby starts to slide into the ocean they are only gonna have a limited time to sink or swim !!!

Steve

(Course the Glen-l people will be floating along laughing at everyone that sinks saying: "You shoulda called, we could have told you that thing was never gonna float !!)
